Zippy Strippy Table Runner

1 11 2012

The leaves on the trees in my backyard are subtly changing to fall colors. The dogwood, a deep burgundy; the beech, a shimmering yellow; the red maple, orange-red; the silver maple, gray and brown; the pines stay ever green. The blending of leaf colors reminds me of batik fabric strips laid side by side, shading into one another.

A table runner for fall in vibrant batik fabrics will dress up any dining area! Using pre-cut 2 ½” strips and a speedy “quilt-as-you-go” method, you will zip up this runner in no time.

While making this quick and easy runner, my mind wandered to other strippy possibilities. What if I inserted diamonds instead of squares?
