Despite cold evening temperatures, daffodils are pushing their way out of the ground and bravely blooming. The yellows and oranges are so cheerful, heralding springtime with flair.
This is a wedding gift; the bride’s favorite colors are yellow and white. Isn’t the Joel Dewberry large scale print gorgeous? I didn’t want to dissect it into tiny pieces, so I cut a 40″ square in half diagonally and inserted 2 rows of 9″ Friendship Star blocks. The black micro-stripe separates the patchwork rows and makes a tidy binding.
