Sew Original

5 04 2013

Thursday found hubby and me driving to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for a church related mini-conference. Prior to leaving home, I searched the internet for quilt shops in Winston-Salem. The one closest to our conference venue was Sew Original, a Bernina dealership on Robinhood Road with wonderful fabrics, notions, books and patterns.

I enjoyed browsing in the spacious, well-lit shop. And I gained permission to photograph some of the quilt projects. “Traditions” caught my eye. It is designed by Larene Smith for P & B Textiles and features the “New Traditions” line of fabric. You can download the free pattern here.

How about “Carnival” by Maple Island Quilts? Jazzy and bright with lots of movement!

And Ran is wondering which grandchild would most like a teepee.  “Terrific Teepees” is distributed by Sew Baby, Inc.

If your travels take you to or through Winston-Salem, stop by Sew Original. You are sure to find something to pique your interest!
