I am in Dundee, New York this weekend visiting my friend Marie and sharing quilts with her guild, the Keuka Quilters.
Saturday’s workshop was “Get the Point?,” a block design inspired by Carrie Nelson’s block #291 in Volume 3 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks from Today’s Top Designers. You can see my finished quilt here on my Workshops/Lectures page.
Would you like to see some of the fabric and setting combinations?
Aren’t Denise’s batiks wonderful?
Kim cut some of her previously worn dresses into 2 1/2″ strips for her quilt.
I love this fabric combination!
Comfortable country colors
Jane’s pinks and florals were beautiful!
Marie chose teal as the background fabric, and we arranged the blocks in a “hanging diamond” configuration.
Diana’s background is green batik which she paired with light prints.
Classy green and blue batiks
The red bird print from this Moda jelly roll is just lovely!
Brenda’s quilt will grace a bed in her Bed and Breakfast.
Elly had fun mixing and matching her batik blocks.
I really enjoyed meeting the workshop participants and look forward to sharing my lecture “It’s Not About the Quilts” with them on Monday evening.
