“Paris Forever”

My friend, Deb, has been at it again . . . making quilts to give to special friends. This time she made matching quilts for baby girls.

The “Paris Forever” fabric is printed on three background colors: white, pink, and black. And Deb bought three solids of the same colors. She cut 4 1/2″ squares and made twelve “Nine Patches.” If you look closely, you will see that there are two color/fabric configurations for the alternating blocks.

I used pink variegated thread to quilt an all-over ruffled hook design. The curves soften all the lines of the squares, I think.

What a jazzy quilt for a little girl! This quilt demonstrates that using sophisticated, coordinating fabrics dresses up even the simplest of quilt designs.
