Celebrate National Quilting Day

21 03 2015

How fun to have a special day all to ourselves – a day to celebrate QUILTING!

The Tarheel Quilters of Fayetteville, NC are celebrating by participating in the First Annual “How To” day at the Main Library. We’ll be in Conference Room #1 from 12 to 12:45 p.m. and in Conference Room #2 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. If you live locally, please stop by. We are demonstrating hand quilting.

About ten busy bees in our guild made forty simple potholders.

Several guild members will be on hand at the library today to demonstrate how to use a needle threader, how to tie a quilter’s knot, how to use 3/8″ tape to guide a line of hand stitching, how to use a bandaid for a thimble, and how to quilt through all three layers to make a decorative kitchen necessity.

How are you celebrating National Quilting Day?
