“Spring Migration” QAL Fabrics

Excitement is mounting for the QAL which begins Monday–tomorrow! Several blog readers have sent me pictures of their selected fabrics. I think you’ll find them inspiring.

First up are Brenda’ choices. The psychedelic print sure adds a lot of vibrant color and movement! Please comment below, Brenda, to tell us where you purchased such wonderful fabric.

Roxann chimed in with fabrics from her stash. Everyone loves pansies in the springtime! What a great idea to pair it with a plaid, cream, and mauve tonal!

Cheryl found some yellow and green along with a floral print. Very spring-y choice!

Judy must be planning a baby quilt; aren’t those teddy bears darling? The accompanying tonals are perfect for the project.

Stephanie selected a “Dear Stella” white-on-white for the background, a Kaffe Fassett stripe, “Fun” (purple) by Timeless Treasures and hot pink. She considered using the yellow-green as the background but decided to go with white. She’ll use the yellow-green instead for backing and perhaps for the binding.

I hope you’ll join in the fun. Refer back to Monday’s Introductory post for yardage requirements and a description of the QAL schedule.

  1. My psychedelic print dates back to 2004 St. Jude Quilt of Dreams from Hancock Fabrics. I had bought some for a quilt for my granddaughter and still have a piece left that should be close to what I need. I have been on a using stash kick since last year and have found I like the challenge! I love the different fabrics everyone has chosen and will be excited to see the quilts when they are finished.
