Each month this year Quiltmaker magazine is featuring instructions for a mini quilt block on their blog, Quilty Pleasures. Although I’ve only made 1 basket, 9 houses, and 4 stars, I have to say the instructions each month are super and include lots of explanatory pictures. This month is no exception — darling 3″ trees.
Take a look at Kelly’s tutorial for making the paper-pieced trees. I was particularly intrigued by the tree fabric she made from triangular fabric scraps. Wouldn’t a quilt made with Christmas prints be cute? Or I could make four trees, one for each season, and sew them together in a row.
