“Garden Pavers” Reprinted

DSCN7855The Best of McCall’s Quilting, Summer 2016 is hot off the press! And I am thrilled to tell you that my quilt, “Garden Pavers,” is included in the issue that boasts “22 of our most popular patterns.”

FYI – If you subscribe to McCall’s Quilting or McCall’s Quick Quilts, you won’t be receiving this issue in your mailbox. It’s a special issue and can be found on newsstands, in fabric shops, and online at the Quilt and Sew Shop.

I love how the editors organized the quilts into four sections in the magazine: For the Home, Just for Kids, From Your Stash, and For All Seasons. You’ll find “Garden Pavers” in the From Your Stash section. The instructions include a step by step pictorial explanation of machine sewing hexagons together in rows. This quilt was first published in the September/October 2013 issue of McCall’s Quilting. If you missed it the first time, here’s your second chance! Click here to see the write-up on the McCall’s site; you’ll find a link to a free table runner project using the same templates.

Quilt designers include Jinny Beyer, Gerri Robinson, Erin Russek, Lissa Alexander, and Beth Hayes. From Christmas ornaments and a wool candle mat to patriotic bed quilts to hand and machine applique, from simple to complex, this issue has it all! I personally like the cover quilt. Wouldn’t the Sixteen Patches in the centers of the stars be great as exchange blocks among quilting friends?

After paging through The Best of McCall’s Quilting, Summer 2016, I think you’ll agree this is a fabulous special issue! (Click on the picture of the magazine to link to the Quilt and Sew Shop where you can order a copy.)
