Christmas . . . the season of giving. Gifts for our families and friends, yes. But also a spirit of generosity toward those who need a special touch of care. And quilts gifted to those less fortunate generate perpetual warm hugs. Reba and some ladies from her church stitched these quilts based on my “Summer Safari” design. Read on!
“When I saw ‘Summer Safari’ (McCall’s Quick Quilts June/July 2016) , I knew our charity quilt group at church had to make it for the children at our local hospital, St. Joseph West – Lake St. Louis, MO. For the project, I used fabric from my stash and cut out kits for the ladies in our group. We made 15 quilts. It was great to find a pattern that was so quick and easy for us to make. Pictured are Rev. Roy Christell, Dee, Fran, Nancy, Reba (Group Leader), Bev, Jeanne, Hope and Sherry.”
