“Long Road Home” Finished!

67982DC2-F3CF-4F92-A03D-1BACB7EA9C17.jpegI am happy to share that “Long Road Home,” made with exchanged blocks is signed, sealed, and delivered, or rather pieced, quilted, and bound.

I used a gold Magnifico polyester thread to quilt the Double Plume pantograph designed by Keryn Emmerson. Double Plume is one of my go-to quilting designs for Civil War style quilts. It feels great to transfer this quilt from a project box to the quilt rack in our bedroom. I am keeping it handy for extra warmth on chilly early spring evenings.

  1. Good job, Aby, on finishing the Long Road Home. It is beautiful! I love the quilting. I need to remember this pantograph.

    • You finishing your quilt was the motivation I needed to put my blocks on the design wall. Once on the wall, I had to sew them together. The long diagonal rows through the center were, indeed, the “long road home.”
