I am happy to share that “Long Road Home,” made with exchanged blocks is signed, sealed, and delivered, or rather pieced, quilted, and bound.
I used a gold Magnifico polyester thread to quilt the Double Plume pantograph designed by Keryn Emmerson. Double Plume is one of my go-to quilting designs for Civil War style quilts. It feels great to transfer this quilt from a project box to the quilt rack in our bedroom. I am keeping it handy for extra warmth on chilly early spring evenings.
This quilt is beautiful. I live in CA where we’ve been having cold weather so I’d have it on my bed!
Thank you, Mary. There’s nothing that warms the heart like a newly finished quilt!
What a lovely, gently comforting quilt. You will love it for many years.
Thank you, Mary Ed. It is already one of my favorites!
Aby, your quilt is stunning! I love it 🙂
Thank you, Karla. I am very happy with it!
The name of the thread suits your piece beautifully…..it is magnificent!
You are very kind, Jennifer. Thank you!

Thank you, Pam.
Good job, Aby, on finishing the Long Road Home. It is beautiful! I love the quilting. I need to remember this pantograph.
You finishing your quilt was the motivation I needed to put my blocks on the design wall. Once on the wall, I had to sew them together. The long diagonal rows through the center were, indeed, the “long road home.”
I love the colors and the design! Wonderful job!
Its stunning, congrats on a beautiful finish.
Thank you, Jane. It feels great to have finished such a nice quilt.
Very beautiful.
