Happy Easter 2021!

Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter!

For holidays, I like to share songs or hymns that reverberate in my heart with hope that they speak to you as well. On Palm Sunday our pastor’s message centered on the cross, Jesus’ selfless sacrifice for our sins. And the praise team sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” with poignant meaning. Click here to hear Alan Jackson sing this time-honored hymn. I also enjoyed Rosemary Siemens’ rendition as she sang and accompanied herself on piano and violin.

Comment with the songs that have been playing in your mind this season.

  1. Aby, Happy and Blessed Easter to you and  yours. We will be having Easter Service on the front lawn of the churchtomorrow.Karen:)

  2. “Up From the Grave He Arose!” We are so blessed that He died for us! “Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow “ is good for every day. Happy Resurrection Sunday to everyone!
Abby, can you explain your Easter decoration? I haven’t been able to decode it.

    • Frohe Ostern is German for Happy Easter. With my husband’s Army career as a chaplain, we were stationed in Germany three times. I loved going to Flohmarkts (flea markets), and that is where I bought the egg (Eier) “jail.” Many of the painted wooden eggs are from Poland.

      • Thank you for the explanation! You have beautiful reminders of your friends and experiences while serving abroad. Thank you both for your service. May you enjoy a blessed Easter this year as well!

  3. Hi again,
I forgot to mention that one of the songs that always speaks to my soul is I Stand All Amazed.
So many times music can express what my voice cannot.
