Today is the day to comment “Done” if you have finished making “Simple Windmill” blocks for your “Rows Parade” Block of the Month quilt. Making “Simple Windmills” was January’s assignment in our 2023 free Quilt Along. There are three size options: Throw size, Twin size, and Queen size. When you comment, be sure to state which size you are making.
Lucy emailed me a picture of her six Windmills, all in a row. The fabric line is “Happy Days” by Sherri and Chelsi. Lovely work, Lucy!

Ann chose fabrics from her stash. I love the various textures of her blues and greens.

Joy also made six blocks for her quilt, two from each print. Well done, Joy!

Marianne is working with dark and medium blue values for the “Windmills” row. The polka dot background adds a zippy interest, don’t you think?
Despite her long list of Works in Progress, Eilene finished her blocks in record time. Yes, we are making multiple blocks each month, but as these ladies will tell you, they are quick and easy to assemble. You can do it!

If you would like to participate in the free QAL, click on the “Rows Parade” BOM QAL tab in the menu. Download the fabric requirements and the instructions for BOM #1. I publish instructions for the blocks on the first day of each month.
If you completed the “Simple Windmills” blocks for your quilt, comment “Done” and state which size quilt you are making. I’ll choose one lucky quilter as the winner of a quilting magazine.
You are all off to a great start on this year’s quilt. I wish I had time to join in but my UFOs are my high priority right now.
