Here we are at the end of April, and it’s time to write a concluding blog post for April’s block of the month from Shelley Cavanna’s Barn Star Sampler book.
I asked Eilene to send pictures of her blocks to date so you can see all that participants have been sewing since mid-January.
January blocks: Mosaic Star and Ribbon Star
February blocks: Christmas Star, Ohio Star, and Windmill Star
March blocks: Weathervane Star and Pinwheel Star
Joan sent a picture of her March and April blocks.
April block: Tulip Star
Jeanie also sent a picture of her Tulip Star(s). (She made two, but I cropped the picture.)
Thanks, ladies for sharing pictures of your wonderful blocks. If you also have completed making the Tulip Star(s) for your quilt, comment “Done” below. You’ll be in the drawing for a free quilting magazine.
Tulip Star is such a pretty block! Since it measures 16″ square, I would only need to make sixteen blocks (plus sashing and borders) for a queen size quilt. I’ll add it to my quilt bucket list; I have William Morris prints in blue, green, and peach that would be perfect for the project.
done. Thanks, Aby!
Wonderful pictures !!
DONE!!! with the two April Tulip blocks.
done with Tulip block. That was such a fun block I’m sure I will make again
done!
Done!!
There must be something special about the tulip block. I, too, want to EVENTUALLY make an entire quilt with that beautiful block. Haven’t chosen fabric yet. Yours sounds very pretty. Have a great day.🥰
Done!
